Whether you plan to consult for nonprofits, develop impactful programs and policies, or choose a career related to research and academia, the community psychology approach will challenge you to view the world differently and gain new skills to have more meaningful impact.

This course invites you to examine the diverse intersections of religion with psychology through exploring updated research and interviewing experts in the field.

For all AUC Undergraduate students... Would you like to learn something about nothing❓

This course overviews when and why people do nothing when they should be doing something (e.g., procrastination, slacking off in group work, avoiding decisions, ignoring conflicts), and when and why it is healthier to do nothing instead of doing things (e.g., sleep, downtime, sitting in nature).

You will gain hands-on practical experiences in doing nothing, including in-class workshops on relaxation and meditation. You will earn points for reflecting on doing (or not doing) nothing… unless you do nothing in the course, in which case, unfortunately, you will earn nothing

What does it mean to support survivors while also protecting the wellbeing of those doing the work?

Join the students of AUC Community Psychology capstone course in collaboration with UN Women Egypt Country Office for an engaging discussion on secondary trauma among professionals and advocates working with sexual abuse and sexual violence in Egypt.

The session will begin with a presentation exploring the personal, relational, organizational, and cultural impacts of secondary trauma, drawing on consultations with experts across different organizations and initiatives.

The discussion will also highlight potential approaches for resource development and capacity building to better support helping professionals.
An open discussion will follow, inviting participants to reflect on actionable strategies for fostering a healthier, more resilient workforce.

This course explores how data is used — and sometimes misused — in real-world contexts such as media reporting and COVID-19 coverage. Students will also learn practical skills in descriptive data analysis, including creating tables and graphs in Excel.
