We’re delighted to announce our four speakers for the Careers Talk we have planned for tomorrow 🤩

First we have Mark O’Sullivan who studied Electronic Engineering in UCC. In 2016 Mark began a PhD in embedded systems with the Infant Research Centre working in the field of portable brain monitoring for newborns.

Bryan Crowley is a former UCC Chem Engineering graduate. He is currently the Director for the Operations of Lilly’s API External Manufacturing division, his team ensure the safe and reliable supply of Lilly’s medicines to patients.

Dave Linehan graduated from UCC with an Energy Engineering degree in 2013. He is currently the Senior Project Manager for Eirgrid, the operator and developer of Ireland’s national grid.

Lastly we have Marguerite Nyhan who is an Environemtal Engineering lecturer in UCC. Marguerite’s research focuses on designing intelligent solutions for carbon-neutral, sustainable, healthy and liveable cities of the future.

Over the next few weeks we’ll be running four Academic Talks, one for each of the engineering disciplines. The purpose of these talks are primarily to help first year engineers decide which discipline they want to study. Our first talk will be focusing on electrical and electronic engineering, happening tomorrow at 7 👀
