REGISTRATION MOP-UP WINDOW FOR THE NOVEMBER ORDINARY AND ADVANCED LEVEL EXAMINATIONS

ZIMSEC has opened a mop up window for the November examinations. The window is open until the *22nd of May 2026*.

All intending candidates who failed to register before the 27th of March and those who need to regularise their subject entries in accordance with the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education policy should take advantage of this window to do so.

There will be NO extension further than the 22nd of May 2026.

NOTIFICATION OF EXCHANGE RATE TO BE APPLIED ON THE 2026 NOVEMBER O AND A LEVEL EXAMINATION FEES

ZIMSEC would like to inform parents/ guardians and all interested parties of the exchange rates that are applicable for examination fees to be paid for the O and A level November Examinations.

The Zimbabwe School Examinations Council (ZIMSEC) has published the 2026 examination fees for Grade 7 and *June* Ordinary and Advanced level Examinations. These fees remain unchanged from the previous examination sessions

*JUNE ORDINARY AND ADVANCED LEVEL*

The June examination is for candidates who are re- writing Examinations/ subjects hence, in accordance with the Government of Zimbabwes policy on examination fees subsidy, they are not eligible for the 55% subsidy as they benefitted from it in the prior sessions.

Fees for June examinations are therefore pegged at,
$24 per subject for Ordinary Level
$48 per subject for Advanced level

These fees stand for candidates sitting at Public schools as well as private school/colleges.

*Grade 7 fees* are pegged at
$5 per term for candidates at Government schools, Council schools and not for profit mission schools and
$11 for candidates in private schools/ colleges.

The Zimbabwe School Examinations Council - Zimsec has released the November 2025 Ordinary Level Results today. The examination results will be available online today, Friday 16th of January 2026, from 1600 hours through the ZIMSEC portal link https://results.zimsec.co.zw/ using the Candidate’s details on the Statement of Entry. The link will redirect Candidates to their respective Regions and the portal on which they can access their results. Please note that the portal will be open for 5 days; thereafter, candidates should access the results from their respective Examination Centres.
Heads of Examination Centres are advised to collect their results from their respective Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education Provincial Directors from Monday, 19th of January 2026.

In the November 2025 Ordinary level examinations, a total of 209 810 candidates wrote 5 or more subjects. Of these, 73 978 passed 5 or more subjects with a grade C or better, translating to an overall national pass rate of 35.26%. In comparison, 199 669 candidates who wrote 5 or more subjects in November 2024, with 66 130 passing 5 or more subjects with a Grade C or better, yielding a percentage pass rate of 33.12. The national pass rate for 2025 increased by 2.14 % from that of 2024.

The Zimbabwe School Examinations Council has announced the release of the November 2025 Advanced level results. Candidates can access the Results portal from 1600hrs using the link https://results.zimsec.co.zw

There were 36 635 candidates who sat for the A level examin 2025. Of these, 36 282 wrote 2 or more subjects. 34 740 candidates obtained Grade E or better in 2 or more subjects translating to a national pass rate of 95.75%.

This is an increase of 1.17% from 2024, where the pass rate was 94.58%

The Zimbabwe School Examinations Council Board and Management would like to advise the nation of the release of the 2025 Grade Seven Examination results.

The examination results will be available online today, Friday, 28th of November 2025, from 1400hrs. Please take note that the portal will be open for 4 days; thereafter, candidates should access their results from their respective examination centres.

Candidates’ results will be accessible to all candidates and authorised personnel through the ZIMSEC portal link https://results.zimsec.co.zw/.
Candidates should enter their centre number, after which, they will be redirected to the portal where they can access their results.

The total number of candidates who sat for 6 subjects in the 2025 Grade 7 Examination session was 389 626. Of these 188 930 passed all 6 subjects, recording a national pass rate of 48.49%. This is a slight decline of 0.52% in candidates’ performance from the 2024 pass rate of 49.01%.
