Day 1 of NBT’s Summer Camp at DPS Vasant Kunj began with a joyful Kabir for Kids session for children of grades 1-3. Through stories, songs and dance inspired by Kabir’s timeless dohas, the children laughed, reflected, and joined in with great excitement.

The most heartwarming moment was hearing them share what the dohas meant to them, and knowing they’re eager to sing and dance the rhymes again for their parents at home.

And what a pleasure to visit one’s own school - ’s junior school at Prayagraj / Allahabad - St. Mary’s Convent.

Engaged across 2 sessions
2 simple dohas, learnt with music, dance and the moral, all together :)
Grateful to the school for having us.

Our first Kabir for Kids workshop with this Sunday at and also our first session with senior school children. So far, we had always engaged junior kids, but we were pleasantly surprised by how well the seniors engaged and absorbed this timeless wisdom. We even discovered a set of parents at the back dancing with us to ‘Kaal Kare so aaj kar’!

We did 4 beautiful dohas with the group in a span of an hour, through stories, singing, and a little bit of dance! Plus more dialogue around what rhymes we have grown up learning and what Kabir has to offer as lessons that can travel with us through life…
