Birthday Love: Self-Love is the Best Love - 2/3 ♒️
I’ve spent a great portion of my life picking my body apart. Society says without perfectly round, lifted breasts, flat, smooth tummy, flawless skin and perfect teeth - we are not valuable. And I bought into that for many years.

Once I understood the spiritual purpose of waistbeads and I turned down the societal noise and turned up the spiritual frequencies, my relationship with my body changed. It has housed two healthy boys, and honestly, my body is banging because of all the time and energy I’ve put into it over the decades. Who am I to think any less of this beautiful vessel of mine that I have tended to so lovingly?

I only wear permanent waistbeads, tied with intention. The 14kt gold strand that I am currently wearing was tied with the intention of coming back to myself. The happy, present, grounded, fluid, feminine, and sensual me that has been buried by the rubble of life. I feel more connected to my authentic self now than I ever have. I am always fascinated how intense my leveling up is when I decide to surrender to the work.

Every time I see that golden sparkle orbiting my waist, I feel joy, and it reminds me of the reverence I have for self. How even when n**e, I sparkle with a light that cannot be dimmed.✨

In celebration of all things feminine and sensual for my birthday, I am once again requesting that the beautiful women here bless me with photos, videos, audios, and/or written expressions of you at your most feminine, sensual, and free. My DM or text is open. And don’t be bashful; I relish feminine energy in all forms. And I love worshipping and affirming every last item that is sent to me. I will also happily return the favor for those who desire.

Happy return to me! 🧁

I love a good onesie. I have multiple pajama onesies as well as undergarment onesies like the bodysuit seen here. There is something about being enrobed in soft fabric that is so grounding. What I love about this alternative swimwear bodysuit is that it can be worn as underwear, activewear, and swimwear. And it’s made from the thickest, most awesome, organic cotton fabric that you can find. It doesn’t ride up, and it’s flattering to all body types.

Funny story: I wore one of these to my husband’s home when we were dating. When I took my outside clothes off to get comfy, he said “Ohhh. I see you brought your chaperone with you tonight.” 😆😆😆

Here’s a little secret….
Comfort is the poison.
Doing things that make you feel good can be a wonderful thing. But relying on good feeling experiences to avoid greater needs and desires is detrimental to your dreams, goals, and health.

Self discipline is self love.
I never understood this until this year. The word discipline gives off such a negative connotation to most. Discipline is equated with punishment because of how we use it in society. Although it is one meaning of the word, there’s another: self control. Being in control of one’s self is an act of love. Not allowing yourself to blindly follow every whim creates the fortitude to create a life you love, instead of being a helpless victim of happenstance (which isn’t happenstance at all; it’s poor choices)

I am starting my routine 14-day detox because I’ve been off physically and mentally for far too long. I deserve better. The comfort I was seeking has become painful. It’s time to reset. I deserve to feel better, think clearer, and have my happy energy return. In order to get these back, I’m willing to forego what’s comfortable and get deeply rooted in what’s needed. Raw diet, herbs, lymphatic drainage, magnesium baths, movement, meditation, journaling, nature, and anything/anyone else that supports my greatest good.

This is indeed a good Friday because I am choosing me. ♥️

THERAPY THURSDAY: In 2.5 months, my therapist has navigated me through some huge breakthroughs. I am not the same woman I was when I first sat down with her.

At the beginning, I was self-deprecating, shameful, confused, exhausted in every way, overwhelmed, and covered in childhood trauma. We walked through so many things piece by piece. I fought her on trying to convince me that my parents didn’t have the capacity to encourage and celebrate my uniqueness; that instead I assimilated to what I needed to be to survive what was demanded of me. A lot of my choices were taken away then, and that turned me into an adult who unhappily did and said things she didn’t want to. I fought her on relationship issues - “No Doc. You just don’t understand. It’s not like that. What he/she means is THIS when they say THAT.” In the most loving ways she would break apart what I was experiencing and give me the lingo to understand what was happening. Bit by bit, my perception of me and my current life changed.

And now, I have easily-sustainable daily happiness, I don’t catastrophize problems, I allow myself to feel what I’m feeling without wallowing or leaving it up to chance to correct itself, I’m happy to wake up and go to work in the morning, I find joy (instead of fear) in my daily unknowns, I’m giving myself more and more permissions, I focus on being as vulnerable and authentic as much as possible, anxiety no longer resides in my body, I know my purpose and am rediscovering my powers - all because I actually give a f**k about me now and treat myself like a friend that I coach through the tough parts and celebrate the awesome parts with. My inner child is healing and acclimating to a level of peace she’s never had before.

Biggest lesson I learned in this round of therapy: I AM RESPONSIBLE FOR MY HAPPINESS & MAKING MYSELF WHOLE; IT IS NO ONE ELSE’S JOB.

Damn…
I have been meditating for:
681 consecutive days
Over 1200 days lifetime total
Over 32,000 minutes lifetime total
And it is right this very moment that I realized I have only been able to be mindful when I meditate.
I have been the most unmindful, unwilling to accept reality, entitled being outside of meditation. I have been creating a lot of my own suffering for most of my adult life.
The arrogant ego and the impoverished ego have been running this show with glimpses of authentic vulnerability and intimacy. But those last two have never been sustainable nor completely embraced.
Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck.
The clarity in the last couple of weeks is creating healing on a foundational level. It’s like I’ve been slowly sorting emotional clutter and clearing out space over the years to get to the bottom of all my s**t.
And I’m here! At ground level. Doing the deep cleaning. And I’m so happy that I never gave up on me and that I had the awareness to ask for this. The work I’m doing at ground zero is about to shift me into the person I’ve been searching for in others my entire life.
My husband advised me to walk this part slowly so that it can be done completely and that’s exactly what I’m doing.
Gratitude for learning how to listen to my higher self in 2020. This entire 4 years has gotten me to this pivotal point in life today. ✨

Many relationships fail because the 2 people involved were never friends. No romantic relationship can thrive without a foundation of friendship.

Every adult has things to work on; refusal to do the work is the equivalent of reluctance to be an adult.

WHAT IF THE PEOPLE WE COULD LOVE ARE HERE ALREADY; WE JUST CAN'T SEE THEM...

The next time you feel that you cannot find love, ponder this:
- Might our strategies for finding love all be carefully calibrated to fail? Might the friends we are relying on to introduce us to someone never be able to do so (and we deep down know it)?
Might our way of behaving on dating apps be guaranteed to end in frustration?
- Was that person we recently met really so
'wrong'? Or was their apparent wrongness not just a reflection of our terror of their possible rightness?
- Might the people we have spent months or years obsessing about interest us chiefly because they pose no risk to our isolation?
- Do we find fault so as - always - to be able to retreat to a comfortable position of being bereft?
Is it in key ways easier to continue to be alone?
- Was calling them 'boring' or not 'sexy' just our way of saying that they were 'a potential challenge to our defendedness' or 'capable of knowing us properly'?
- Might our rejection be a preemptive move to prevent the danger that they might declare us unacceptable?
- And lastly: Might we be up to our tricks because we need to keep repeating scenarios of failure - for we haven't digested the pain of an original rejection at the start of our lives? Do the clues lie in the nature of our relationships with our first caregivers, especially the caregivers of the gender we're attracted to? Do we ridicule psychotherapy because we're worried it might have something to tell us?

Who we see in a given environment is - to an extraordinary extent - determined by who we are in a position to see; someone not ready to love is blind. We may find there are far more candidates at large than we had assumed once we have the courage and capacity to receive them into our hearts.

Love is…
Having a safe space for all of your truth to exist.
It only takes one time of being admonished for sharing your truth to traumatize you into believing (YOU &) your truth is too much. So you become silent in that regard, privately reprimanding yourself for “doing too much”, or seething that you were judged and not seen and heard. Find people who can lovingly sit with you and show up for you and your raw truth.

❤️‍🩹 RELATIONSHIPS ARE FOR HEALING ❤️‍🩹

Some will view this video and say he’s a fool for what he did at the end. This means you aren’t in a place to truly offer love, and that’s ok. You are not a bad person. You are choosing to protect self.

Others will view this video and understand that he took an opportunity to extend healing to someone who has never had grace extended to her. They will see his actions at the end as a man of emotional intelligence who has the bandwidth and knowledge of self to show up as the highest form of love possible.

Relationships are meant for healing. You must be willing to be a soft place to land for the pain that your partner is carrying. Not their therapist, but someone who consciously walks with them as they navigate their healing journey.
