2. Slowdown in the Indian economy - Problems and remedies
3. Recent episodes of inflation in the Indian economy. Please send us the ABSTRACT on the topic of your choice. The participation can be i
ndividual or in a team of two.
2. The word limit for the abstract is 500 words.
3.The abstract can be a .doc or .pdf file.
4.The file should be named as follows;
STUDENTNAME_COLLEGE_YEAR. THE LAST DATE FOR SENDING THE ABSTRACTS IS FEBRUARY 17, 2014. The abstracts should be sent to - [email protected]
Students whose abstracts are selected will be required to send in their completed papers, as well as present them on 1st March at the 12th Annual Winter Conference. PRIZES WORTH 10,000 TO BE WON!
2. Budding Economist
An absolute treat to the lovers of Economics, the Budding economist will consist of four rounds of cut-throat competition for the prestigious title of the 'Budding Economist'. An MCQ followed by an Essay writing followed by an audio/visual round after which follows the final interview---all on Economics topics. After four rounds of knock-outs and push and pull, the winner takes the cash prize worth 5,000/- home!
3. The Mock National Development Council
A one-of-its kind event, being held for the first time in the history of the prestigious Ramjas Economics Society, this will be a simulation of the National Development Council to the Prime Minister of India. Selected applicants will get to represent various States of the Republic of India, Various Ministries and departments within ministries to discuss the Achille's Heel of the Indian Economy ----Food Inflation.
