In this edition of My Kepler Story, Lori Waters reflects on her involvement with the College over the years, from aspiring student to faculty member.

Lori will be co-teaching the upcoming course "Fundamentals II: Interpretation Essentials" with Chrissy Carter beginning September 27th. This course advances students beyond foundational astrological principles into a study of planetary condition and chart dynamics, with particular attention to how astrological factors are modified and expressed uniquely within each natal chart.

Emphasis is placed on interpretive synthesis, training students to evaluate multiple variables simultaneously and to discern which factors carry the greatest weight in chart analysis. To enroll, you must complete either Fundamentals I (RN101) or Delineation Synthesis (T104).

Prince William has an AA-rated chart....but could the timing be off? Carol Tebbs makes her case here, saying it just might be.

Carol is teaching the upcoming course "Applied Rectification Practicum" beginning September 26th. By the end of this course, students will be able to apply various chart movement techniques to align appropriate chart patterns and astrological significators to actual life events, from a few minutes of known birth time to a 6-hour search. You will learn the key areas of practice and controversy in rectification; demonstrate knowledge of timing techniques; evaluate activated natal chart angles at important events; and derive a time that can be consistently repeated and aligned with major events. Meet us in Chicago at UAC 2026 for Constellations & Cocktails: Chi-Town Showdown Astro Trivia 🍸

-Date & Time: Tomorrow, Saturday, September 5, from 9:30–11:00 p.m. Central
-Grand Ballroom, Salon I at the Chicago Marriott Downtown

AstroTrivia is a live, team-based astrology game. It offers UAC attendees an opportunity to relax after a full day of lectures, spend time with friends, meet new colleagues, and test their astrology knowledge in a lively group setting.

Teams of up to six people will work together, choose a team name, and compete through several rounds of questions covering different astrological techniques, traditions, and areas of study. The evening will also include music, prizes, and a no-host bar.

All experience levels are welcome. Teams are encouraged to include a mix of beginning, intermediate, and advanced astrologers, giving newer students the opportunity to participate alongside more experienced practitioners.

The event will be hosted by Nick Lasky, with Carol Tebbs and Joey Cannizzaro serving as judges.

-The Digital Storefront: Foundations of Web Presence for Practitioners begins September 19, taught by Ryan Hunt. This 5-week course teaches the strategic architecture of a professional web presence using the “Hub and Spoke” model, where your website serves as the central destination for all marketing channels (social media, content platforms, video, and podcasts).

-Working with Parents & Children begins September 22, taught by Cornelia Hansen. Study a new approach to looking at temperament using modern child development concepts—an analysis that can also be applied to adult charts and is especially useful for work on compatibility or couples counseling.

-Introduction to Natal Hellenistic Astrology begins September 23, taught by Amy Angelo. This course dives into the four pillars of Hellenistic astrology: planets and sect theory, zodiac signs and rulership schemes, the houses, and aspect theory. Using the Thema Mundi as your guide, you will develop a comprehensive understanding of the theoretical foundations of Hellenistic astrology to begin applying concepts in birth chart interpretation.

-Transits begins September 23rd, taught by Celeste Brooks. In this class, you will learn timing techniques, including annual profections, planetary retrogrades, lunations, and eclipses. You will receive the tools to create a year forecast.

-Illuminating Relationships: Natal Promise & Synastry begins September 24, taught by Dorothy Oja. Whether exploring personal relationships or assisting clients, this course offers a clear framework for understanding how two charts interact and what those patterns may suggest about the relationship’s strengths, challenges, and likely outcomes.

Cornelia Hansen's research into child temperament inspired her to write her 2018 book "Kidwheels: Understanding the Child in the Chart." Here, she discusses some of what she saw as a therapist working with families.
