Due to local contractor demand, we’re pleased to bring a face-to-face CPPE - Centre for Pharmacy Postgraduate Education workshop to Newcastle this March, focused on delivering effective contraception consultations within the NHS Pharmacy Contraception Service.

The CPPE Weight Management: Prescribing Perspectives programme has been developed to support safe, effective and consistent practice in this evolving area. This blended learning programme includes:

• A face-to-face workshop with a focus on structured, safe consultations - we will follow a real life case study and explore clinical decision-making and common prescribing challenges
o Peer discussion and sharing of best practice to develop local support networks
• Access to a CPPE e-course (Canvas) covering clinical and professional foundations for weight management prescribing
• An optional post-workshop expert-led webinar, where participant questions are discussed by a specialist panel
The programme is suitable for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians who are currently delivering, or planning to deliver, weight management services either through PGD or Independent prescribing.

Clinical case studies linked to real-world service provision
Practical tips to build confidence and competence in delivering and high quality hypertension case finding service.
