🎉 Uzima University Celebrates a Global Milestone in Research Ethics and Security 🌍

Uzima University proudly congratulates Dr. Fredrick Ochieng' Omogah on his outstanding 2nd presentation at the Oxford Global Health & Bioethics International Conference 2026, held at the University of Oxford, United Kingdom, on 15th July 2026.

Dr. Omogah unveiled the Global Ethics-Security Framework (ESP)—a pioneering approach that integrates ethics and security through continuous oversight across the entire research lifecycle. The framework is designed to strengthen participant protection, accountability, trust, and research integrity, ensuring that ethical and security considerations remain central from research conception to dissemination and post-study stewardship.

Developed in Kenya and presented on the global stage, this innovative framework demonstrates how solutions originating from the Global South can address pressing global governance challenges. By embedding continuous ethics-security oversight into every phase of research—from pre-approval and initiation to monitoring, data handling, and dissemination—the ESP Framework offers a transformative vision for responsible and secure research worldwide.

This achievement reflects Uzima University's commitment to advancing impactful research, innovation, and global thought leadership in health sciences, bioethics and cybersecurity.

Congratulations, Dr. Fredrick Ochieng' Omogah, for representing Uzima University and Kenya with distinction. Your work continues to inspire the global research community and reinforces our shared vision of advancing ethical and secure research for a better, healthier world.

Beyond Approval. Beyond Boundaries. Toward Continuous Protection.
