Children have the most amusing questions about Islam.

Today, while homeschooling, my kids asked about Jannah, but some of their questions were very different from the kind of questions adults ask. Here are some of the questions my kids asked, ranging from cute to deep:

1) Can our teeth get rotten if we eat too many sweets in Jannah?
2) Will we get fat if we eat too much food in Jannah?
3) Do people get hungry and full in Jannah?
4) If you fall from very high in Jannah, will you get hurt?
5) Can you punch a wall without hurting your hands in Jannah?
6) What happens to children who died but their parents were not Muslim?
7) What happens to people who didn't know about Islam?
8) Do you have to pray Salah in Jannah?
9) Do we go to Jannah as soon as we die?
10) If a bad guy says the Shahadah a few seconds before dying, will Allah forgive him?

Alhamdulillah, I am able to answer all my kids' questions about Jannah. As parents, we must remember that we are our kids' first madressa, and so we must be prepared to answer all kinds of questions.

Do not stop your kids from asking questions or brush any question off as silly or stupid. Every question from a child is a genuine question, and your response will affect his/her mindset towards Islam. If you don't know the answer, tell them you don't know and research the answer together. It makes a great bonding experience.
