Kindergarten students stood in front of their peers, and practiced valuable speaking and listening skills. They used clear voices, complete sentences, and brave hearts to explain their Black history projects. Classmates showed respect by listening carefully, making eye contact, and asking thoughtful questions. It was wonderful to see such confidence and curiosity in action! Way to Go scholars!

🎤✨ Wax Museum Celebration of Black History & Excellence ✨📚
Our students truly brought history to life during today’s Wax Museum showcase! Families and guests were welcomed with beautiful hymns sung by our students, setting a powerful and uplifting tone for the event.
Throughout the program, students confidently recited original and classic poetry inspired by African American culture, resilience, and achievement. Their voices echoed messages of hope, courage, and unity.
The highlight of the event was our interactive Wax Museum, where students transformed into influential African American figures. Each “living statue” shared speeches and historical facts, educating visitors about the lasting impact of these trailblazer.

We are proud to showcase a unique and inspiring art piece created by Mrs. Cheryl Smith, Artist, owner of Art-N-Color, and retired Art Teacher. This vibrant piece, Mr. Hornet, was creatively designed using bottle caps collected by students as part of a recycling effort.
The plastic water bottles collected during this project were donated to Keep Jackson Beautiful, reinforcing the importance of environmental stewardship alongside artistic expression.
This meaningful artwork is currently displayed in our entry breezeway, welcoming everyone with a powerful message of creativity, teamwork, and sustainability. Be sure to stop by and take a look!
👏 Thank you to Mrs. Smith and our students for turning recycled materials into something truly special!
