Crea4Dev is an initiative of the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) and the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) which intends to build skills and enhance knowledge of policymakers, creative entrepreneurs and artists through a holistic learning approach. Building on UNITAR’s expertise in methodological approaches and UNCTAD’s ex

tensive policy-oriented analysis of the creative industries, the two organisations have joined forces to deliver innovative training activities, and empower beneficiaries to use the potential of creative and cultural industries for socioeconomic development. Activities will be developed with a blend of learning technologies and supported by quality assurance and certification. Design methods will combine knowledge (know-what), skills (know-how) and attitudes (know-why).

Ebele Okoye Weber is an animation film-maker, from Nigeria. Most of her animation works are based on poetry dealing with the abstract connection between spoken words and moving images. Her short animation film "The Legacy of Rubies (2015)" is the winner of numerous Animation prizes including the 2015 Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA), the Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF) and the Silicon Valley African Festival (SVAFF).
