Even if you never sac bunt, drag, slash, hit & run, squeeze in a game, learning/working on ex*****on skills improve a players ability to control the barrel, create a shorter swing, and become a better hitter overall. And now the tools are in their toolbox if ever needed in game.
In class a C elimination game, Omaha Spikes wins their second game of the day with a come back, from 5 runs down to defeat Mount Michael 9 -8 in eight innings. MM is eliminated. Omaha Spikes plays the loser of tonight’s winners bracket game between Omaha South and Springfield.

SPIKES National (NE) pull away late in win at Tri-Center 10-2.
Dylan Rayfield went 2-3 with an RBI to break the tie and take the lead for good. Carson Davis drove in a run on a triple and scored once. Ayden Harsma scored twice and drove in a run on a double down the line to right field.
Sauyer Thompson gave up a couple in the first, but shut the door for: 4 IP 5H 2R 1BB 7K's. Tyler Johnson kept it closed and locked it with 2 No-Hit innings and 6 K's! Nice work guys! &Rollin
