It may be December but almost 100 miles north of the Arctic Circle there is still not enough snow for the reindeer to migrate. When they usually migrate is a two week period in November. This year the tradition of herding reindeer will be postponed because temperatures are really bad like above and below the freezing mark.

Six stores were shut down in the northeast during the end of November and a Friendly’s restaurant from Seekonk was one of them. The employees who worked there weren’t given a notice of closure and instead were told an option to relocate or be given short term financial assistance. The reason the restaurant closed in the first place was because of a chain that started in 1935 with a statement that announced the locations that “no longer deliver the customer experience that we are working to create…” and the Friendly’s in Seekonk, MA just happened to be a part of it. -LT

Winter storm is expected to slam most of the U.S. It will move from California to the southeast. Heavily rain has already started in California on Thursday and has caused flooding and mudslides. 32 million people will be under flood alert by Friday. Since the conditions may be dangerous so emergency management is being issued so its safe. The same storm is to bringing heavy snow Saturday in the Carolinas and Virginia which could expect to get one foot of snow.

In Brockton, Massachusetts there was a car accident into bank. Police reported the driver appeared to miss a turn and went right into the bank. When rescue got there the car was flipped upside down next to the Webster bank.

In Ohio a father named Mat Cox posted a video that is now going viral on Facebook about him making his ten year old daughter walk five miles in a 36 degree weather to school in the morning. He drove slowly behind her as she walked. His daughter was kicked off the bus twice this year for bullying another student and Mr. Cox figured it was time to teach her a lesson about bullying.

On December 4, 2018, Providence Friars basketball team traveled to Boston College to take on the Boston Eagles, it what would be A great game in a battle of New England teams. The game would head into overtime with a score of 87-87 as the game was back and forth with great basketball being played. Once in overtime however, the Friars took over in OT as they would score 13 in overtime, to Boston’s 8, which would make the final score 100-95 with Providence winning on the road.
