Hey folks! It's that time of year again....Pitt County Agricultural Fair!🎡🎠

Join us at the Fair for a night of delicious fair food, exciting activities, and fun-filled memories! Celebrate the hard work and dedication of our Horticulture and Turfgrass students, who have been very busy over the past couple of weeks designing and building another stunning landscape project. Don’t miss this opportunity to enjoy the sights, sounds, and flavors of the fair while supporting our talented students. We look forward to seeing you there for a night of community, celebration, and fun!

The Pitt County Agricultural Fair is open to the public this week September 16-21st , and we are located out front at the main entrance of the fairgrounds. We also have a booth inside the main exhibit hall to educate the community on all that PCC Horticulture/Turfgrass has to offer.

Hey folks, it's that time of year again! PCC Horticulture Technology program's Annual Spring Plant Sale starts TODAY! We actually have two great days planned for you this year, May 2-3 from 9am-3pm

We will begin this years event today Friday May 2nd just in time for all your Spring gardening activities! What a beautiful weekend to start your Summer garden... Mmmm, can't you just taste that BLT sandwich now! 🥓🥬🍅🍅🍅

Saturday May 3rd will be our main event with lots of fun for everyone! Back by popular demand, we will have two educational seminars on the schedule. "Container Gardening for your Home and Landscape" at 11:00am, and "Plant Propagation; Grafting Basics for the Home Gardener" at 1:00pm. A wide variety of concession will be provided, so grab a drink, chips, and a bag of M&M's, sit back and learn some fun gardening ideas!

In our greenhouse, you will find our beautiful mixed hanging baskets again this year as well as plenty of Spring veggies, annual bedding plants, perennials and a nice selection of succulents, and house plants. In our Nursery, we have a great selection of woody ornamentals for any landscape!

It's been a long cold winter, but Spring is finally here and with that, comes new beginnings! Its Planting season, y'all!!! Our students have worked really hard this semester preparing for our Annual Spring Plant Sale. As always, we have produced a Show Stopping crop! Our annual baskets are full of color and look amazing! Veggie plants and annual bedding plants are ready for your garden! If it's houseplants and succulents that excite you, then our greenhouse holds a little piece of plant heaven that will fulfill your needs. And finally, in our nursery, we have a wide variety of woody plants (trees, shrubs, and groundcovers) that are perfect for any landscape! So make plans now to join us on May 2-3 from 9am-3pm for a weekend of plant delights!!! As always, we look forward to seeing you all real soon!🪴🌳🌴🍅🥒🫑🌷🌻🌱🌞

Hey folks! Spring has sprung, and it's that time of year again! PCC Horticulture Technology program's annual plant sale is finally here...today is the day!! We actually have two great days planned for you this year.

We will begin this years event today April 28th just in time to kick off all your Spring gardening plans. It's not too late to start that Summer garden... Mmmm, I can just taste that sweet tomato sandwich now! 🍅🍅🍅

Saturday April 29th will be our main event with lots of fun for everyone! Come hungry, we'll have a Food truck on site all day! Support our new Turfgrass program with "Putting for Plants" ⛳️ and sharpen your horticulture skills as we will have two educational seminars on the schedule this year. "Container Gardening for your Home and Landscape" at 11:00am, and "Plant Propagation Basics for the Home Gardener" at 1:00pm.

We will kick the event off on Saturday April 16, just in time for your Easter gardening plans and finish out the event with the 2nd Annual Down East Outdoor Living Show on Saturday April 30th. We have lots of beautiful hanging baskets this year. We also have plenty of Spring veggies, annual bedding plants, perennials and a nice selection of succulents, aquatic plants as well as house plants. Come out and see us for all your gardening needs. Spring has finally sprung and I wanted to take the opportunity to remind everyone that our Annual Spring Plant Sale will kick-off this Saturday April 17 in conjunction with the PCC Foundation Down East Outdoor Living Tour. We would like to invite all PCC students, Employees and friends to stop by the Horticultural Greenhouse and browse the wonderful plant collection that our students have produced this semester. We will be available on Saturday from 10-4 as well as Monday April 19 through Wednesday April 21 from 10-4. We have several new items in our collection this year. You will find mixed containers, a variety of hanging baskets, annual and perennial bedding plants, several varieties of tomatoes and veggies, as well as Geraniums and large Boston ferns. We have added a new woody plant nursery to include several varieties of trees and shrubs. We look forward to seeing you all in the upcoming days. Come early to take advantage of this special opportunity.

Horticulture technology is a very hands-on applied science. With Covid-19 and social distancing, come many challenges. This semester definitely hits a little different, but we continue to press on and overcome these challenges. I am grateful that we are able to come together two days a week and meet as a class to experience some hands-on practical learning. We are engaging in several learning projects this semester, from plant propagation in our greenhouse to various landscape design and install projects on our campus. Follow us on Facebook to watch us grow, learn and overcome Covid-19 challenges. We are Bulldog strong!
