The ladies of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Incorporated, Delta Zeta Zeta chapter had an awesome time at Bowie’s National Night Out. While we were there we shared information about our community involvement, youth groups, and our Royal Pearl Scholarship Foundation. We also fellowshipped with our local law representatives and other NPHC members.

Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated honors Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day, as an historic moment in American history. On June 19, 1865, news of the Emancipation Proclamation finally reached the last enslaved individuals in Galveston, Texas, marking the true beginning of freedom for all.

We proudly recognize the efforts of our own trailblazing Soror, Opal Lee, the “Grandmother of Juneteenth,” whose unwavering advocacy helped make Juneteenth a federally recognized holiday in 2021.

Today, we celebrate emancipation, reflect on our ancestors’ strength and resilience, and recommit to the work of advancing justice, equity, and unity. Through education, action, and solidarity, we move closer to a world rooted in true freedom for all.
