🚀 HACK THE SENSES: FREE AI & ROBOTICS HACKATHONS 🤖
APPLY NOW!
Calling all Year 11–13 students! Do you want to build a robot that can hear, see, and talkto you?
Join us for two hands-on hackathons at the London AI Campus, funded by an EPSRC-UCL grant in collaboration with ElevenLabs, No Black Boxes, and Neurogears.
📅 The Challenges
1️⃣ SOUND (14 March 2025): Build audio circuits and use ElevenLabs to give your Raspberry Pi a human voice. 🎙️
2️⃣ VISION (21 March 2025): Build video-streaming circuits and master object and face detection using a variety of Ai tools 👁️
🏆 Prizes from ElevenLabs
Gain access to professional-grade AI tools to keep building:
- All Participants: 3-month Creator tier ($66 value)
- Winning Team: 3-month Pro tier ($297 value)
- Best Project: 6-month Scale tier ($1,980 value)
No Experience Needed: We provide the gear and the training, you bring the curiosity.

🚀 Week 4 – “Build a Brain” 🤖🧠
From transistors to computers. What is a computer 🖥️ ?
1️⃣ LOGIC. We built logic gates and explored how simple ON/OFF switches allow computers to speak binary.
2️⃣ MEMORY. We explained what short and long-term memory really mean, introducing the brilliance of floating-gate transistors and how information can be stored without power.
And finally, we scaled up.
We used microcontrollers — Arduino — to mimic what a “hindbrain” does: allowing robots to sense the world and react to it.
