Destiny Academy is a dynamic school serving the educational needs of students in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Destiny Academy opened in 2005 with 25 preschool students. Today, Destiny Academy offers preschool through grade 8 and enrolls 530 students at its two campuses. Destiny Academy has always been a sch

ool with a big vision driven by a passion for the poor. It is located in the Gofa community which is home to tens of thousands of impoverished, uneducated children. Their families cannot afford to send them to public schools due to the high cost of tuition, uniforms, and school supplies. Destiny Academy provides Gofa's children a chance to go to school regardless of their ability to pay. Destiny Academy strives to have a positive impact on society through values-based education. Teachers are committed to educating the whole child--mentally, physically, emotionally--and place a special emphasis on the virtues of respect, diligence, love, honesty, and peace.

Destiny Future Academy would like to recruit competent teachers for the following vacant positions. Interested teachers can apply and compete for the position from the day of this advertisement until October 30, 2023.
1. Position: English Teacher
Number: 1
Qualification: BA/BED in English
Experience: 2 years
Or foreigners who have experience in teaching in Ethiopian school environments.
2. Position: Health & Physical Education Teacher
Number: 1
Qualification: BA/BED in Sport Science
Experience: 2 years
3. Special needs educator
Qualification: BA in psychology, Special needs education, Nursing
Experience: 0 years
4. Position: Social and natural science teacher
Qualification: BA in Biology, Chemistry, civics and Social studies fields.
Experience: 2 years with good English communication

(A)Special need education Co-Coordinator

Lead the special needs education program. So that every special need students follow a designed program. Follow the IEP, assessment, progress and intervention programs. Follow each special needs education assistant. And related responsibilities.

(A)Education/Certification:
Bachelor’s degree or above from Special education
Proficiency in English communication skills is preferred
Previous work experience in special need education

(B)Special need education teacher

Provide special education students with learning activities and experiences designed to help them fulfil their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Work with IEP and support individual students in the level.
(B)Education/Certification:
Certification in Special education/ Or previous experience in assisting special needs education
Proficiency in English communication skills is preferred
