Candy co-founded the improv company, The Barely Insane Players, and has taught improv since 1995 to students of all ages. In this celebration of International Women’s Day and month, I look back and see so many kindly women who encouraged me throughout the years.

One of them lived and died many years before me.
However,because she left so many written works that I have read (including over 10,000 of her letters, some of which I have been blessed to hold in my hands)I feel so indebted to and thankful to
Florence Nightingale😊🩷

Her grit and determination, even after she returned from the Crimean war as basically an invalid for the rest of her life, is such an inspiration. She was a woman of faith who felt called by God to help the helpless and give hope to the hopeless and very practical ways. She did her best to become what the Bible calls, “the hands and feet of Jesus.”
