Engineering Mentorship Council - TAMU We are an organization for A&M Engineering students that aims to help freshman engineers grow.

The Engineering Mentorship Council (EMC) started in Spring of 2017 as an idea between a few juniors in an engineering leadership class--we loved what we had learned, but knew that the lessons taught by the mentors running this class should be available to all engineering students. We are now a student organization that is open to all students in the College of Engineering at A&M. The heart of our

organization is the mentorship program: two mentors, who can be sophomores or above, are group with several freshman students, and these groups meet once a week to be a helping hand and place for dialogue. We also host volunteer events, because engineering and the community it occurs in can never be separated. Finally, we bring guest speakers in who have carved unique paths that our members should be inspired by.
