To celebrate the installation of our incredible new mosaic wall and sensory garden, we'll have an official ribbon-cutting ceremony to kick off the school year as a community! We have invited our wonderful PlayNW Brick Campaign sponsors to join us for the event, so look out for Action Karate North Wales 🥋, the fire truck 🚒 from North Penn Volunteer Fire Company, and free soft pretzels 🥨 provided by The Katelyn Mathe Team- Real Estate while you all enjoy free popsicles from North Wales Home & School.

Welcome back to school to our amazing North Wales Elementary Community! In this edition of our monthly Home and School Newsletter, you’ll find a list of upcoming events, fundraisers and school activities. There will be links to PT Board,...

North Wales Home and School is currently looking for volunteers to chair the following events for the 25/26 school year. We would ideally like each event to have two co-chairs if possible.

If this sounds like something you would be interested in, please reach out to Lizzie Lutes, Cait Coppick or Amy O’Brien at [email protected] for the strictly events section or reach out to Christie Barnard at [email protected] for any fundraising events. And there is no obligation to sign up at this very moment, unless you want to! If you’d like more information of what goes into each event, we are here to answer those questions!

The following strictly events will need Chair People:
-Trunk or Treat (scheduled for Friday, October 24th, 2025)
-Color Run - we are in need of one additional co-chair
-6th Grade Events - this is specific to 25/26 6th grade parents/guardians
Only.
-Service projects - we are looking for one additional co-chair

The following Fundraising events will need Chair People:
-Dine and Donate
-Sports Fundraisers
-Hundred X

We are also looking for someone that is tech savvy that would be able to volunteer as a teach coordinator. This is a developing position.

Thank you all for considering volunteering for any of these available positions. All of our events rely on volunteers like YOU and we (quite literally) can’t do it without you! Please do reach out with any questions!!

We are so lucky to have such an amazing teacher as part of our North Wales Elementary Community!

Before my big announcement, I’d like say thank you to the best school community ever! From my students to my colleagues to all the parents and their support. I’m always appreciative for all that you do for our library and community. ❤️

I am thrilled to announce that I have been selected as the recipient of the 2025 Pennsylvania School Library Innovator of the Year Award.

This award honors a Pennsylvania school librarian who has demonstrated innovative practices that advance the profession. The award recognizes a school librarian who delivers exemplary programming, services, and instruction, showcasing best practices in school librarianship. Furthermore, the recipient provides innovative instruction that enhances teaching and learning, and can be easily adopted or adapted by other educators. I will be accepting my award and delivering a speech in April at the Pennsylvania School Librarians Association Conference. Following the award ceremony, I will present a session titled "Navigating Library Lessons for Student Engagement." I am deeply humbled to be recognized and I’ll be sure to make North Wales proud!
