吉 means luck in Chinese, we will be hosting Chinese New Year workshops on 11 and 12 Feb (年三十 & 年初一). All about 吉!

I’m super happy to invite two brilliant teachers Miss May 舞蹈媽媽英倫誌 & Maggie Wong that I admire so much to join me in this CNY workshop. This year we have organised the following:

- Sing a new CNY song about 吉 composed by Locy Lee and have fun with rhythm.
- Join Miss Maggie to learn the story behind calligraphy and create your own 揮春 with the word 吉.
- Be prepared to watch an amazing Chinese dance performance by Miss May. She will also be teaching us some ‘吉’ dancing steps with a towel.

All profit will be donated to the ‘送暖行動’ (COVID-19 Volunteering Project) organised by Chinese Association Of Tower Hamlets London, U.K

Miss Chiu (趙老師) is running 2 short summer courses starting from next Saturday 22nd August, please see below for details:

Cantonese Speaking Course

Through fun activities on a wide range of topics, the Cantonese Speaking Course teaches useful phrases that children can use in daily lives

Lesson 1 - Finding things to do at home (eating, exercising, playing games)
Lesson 2 - Visiting relatives (greetings, introducing yourself, manners)
Lesson 3 - Shopping (clothes, food, measure words e.g. 一個，一件)
Lesson 4 - Getting ready for school (packing your school bag, time, transportation)

Cantonese Bridging Course

Forgot everything you learnt in Year 1 already? Join this bridging course to revise and prepare for Year 2 through fun games, interactive activities and exercises!

Lesson 1 - Describing objects in complete sentences (size, colours, shapes, speed)
Lesson 2 - Numbers and measuring words (個，隻，條）
Lesson 3 - Mood and expressing emotions
Lesson 4 - Chinese words

時常保持環境清潔，上課前後職員都會清潔消毒課室及走廊，小息前後也會清潔消毒飯堂。

It’s important to keep the environment clean in the school, staff cleans the classrooms, canteen (before and after break time) and corridors throughout the day.
