🌞 End of Year Message 🌞

As we come to the end of another wonderful academic year, I would like to thank all of our parents and carers for your continued support, encouragement, and partnership throughout the year. Your involvement plays such an important role in helping our children thrive, and we are truly grateful. 💙

We are incredibly proud of everything our pupils have achieved this year. They have worked hard, embraced new challenges, and created many happy memories along the way. 🌟 We hope they leave for the summer feeling proud of their accomplishments and excited for the year ahead.

As our school community prepares for the next chapter, we also say farewell to several valued members of staff. 👋

🌼 We would like to thank Miss Dorsett, one of our Year 1/2 teachers, for her dedication, enthusiasm, and commitment to the children during her time with us. We wish her every success in her new role.

🌼 We also say goodbye to Mrs Carr, who has been at the school for 20 years and is currently supporting our Reception class. Her care, kindness, and support have made such a positive difference to so many of our youngest learners. We wish her all the very best for the future.

🌼 We also extend our sincere thanks and best wishes to the other members of staff who are moving on to new roles and opportunities. We are grateful for everything they have contributed to our school and wish them every success and happiness in their future careers. 🍀

Finally, we wish all of our families a happy, restful, and safe summer break.

⚽🌍 World Cup Kit Design Competition! 🌍⚽

To celebrate the excitement of the World Cup, our fantastic Sports Council organised a football kit design competition, inviting children to get creative and design their very own football shirts. 🎨👕

We were so impressed by the imagination, creativity and effort shown by everyone who entered. Choosing the winners was no easy task!

As a special reward, our lucky winners each received a football spinner to celebrate their brilliant designs. 🎉⚽

A huge well done to everyone who took part—you should all be incredibly proud of your wonderful entries and the enthusiasm you showed throughout the competition. 👏🌟

🌟 Last week, our Equality Group planned and delivered a whole-school worship focused on equality and diversity. 🌍🤝

The presentation was linked to 🇬🇧 British Values and helped children understand the importance of treating everyone with respect, kindness and fairness. 💙✨ The group also explained what children should do if they ever feel they have been treated unfairly 🗣️👩‍🏫👨‍🏫

🌟 The Equality Group worked very hard on the presentation, and we were incredibly proud of their efforts! 👏😊💙 Their teamwork and commitment to sharing this important message were wonderful to see. ⭐🙌🏫

🏆 We are delighted to announce that we, St Mary's CE Primary School, have achieved the School Games Platinum Mark Award 🎉✨

The School Games Mark is a Government-led award scheme launched in 2012, facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust, to reward schools for their commitment to developing competitive sport both within school and across the wider community. 🏅🤝 We are delighted to have been recognised for our success! 🌟

We are extremely proud of our pupils 👏💙 for their dedication to all aspects of school sport 🏃‍♀️⚽🏀🏅, including the young volunteers, leaders and officials 🙌 who helped make our competitions possible.

As part of our application, we were asked to fulfil criteria in the areas of participation 👥, competition 🏆, workforce 👨‍🏫👩‍🏫 and clubs 🤸‍♀️⚽🎭, and we are pleased that the hard work of everyone in our school community has been rewarded this year. 🌈⭐

A huge thank you to all our pupils, staff, families and supporters for helping us achieve this fantastic milestone! 💙🎉

🎶✨ What a fantastic musical experience for our children ✨🎶

We were delighted to welcome KeyStrings to our school for a day of interactive musical performances. 🎻🎵 The team delivered separate sessions for KS1 and KS2, giving all of our children the opportunity to enjoy a fun-filled and engaging musical experience. 🎤🎹🥁

The performances were full of energy, audience participation, and wonderful music, with children singing, clapping, and joining in throughout. 🎶👏😊 It was a joy to see so many smiling faces as the children experienced the power and excitement of live music. 🌟🎼💛

Our pupils had a fantastic time and thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to learn, participate, and be inspired through music. 🎵✨🎉

A huge thank you to KeyStrings for providing such an entertaining and memorable experience for our school community. 🙌🎶❤️

We were delighted to welcome Bart G, motivational speaker, who spent the day with our students and staff. 🙌💙 Bart led a whole-school worship session and delivered engaging workshops across the school, sharing powerful messages about resilience, determination, inclusion, and believing in yourself. 🌈💪⭐

Our students were captivated by Bart's story and encouraged to think about how they can overcome challenges, celebrate differences, and make a positive impact on those around them. 🤝❤️ Staff and students alike left feeling motivated, inspired, and empowered to reach for their goals and embrace every opportunity. 🚀✨

🌸🐰 Easter Fun in Nursery & Reception! 🐣🌷

Yesterday, our Nursery and Reception children teamed up for a lovely afternoon full of Easter fun! 💛

We received a very special surprise letter from the Easter Bunny 🐰💌 telling us he had lost all of his eggs… oh no! 😱 So, the children set off on a super egg hunt together 🥚🔍

They showed fantastic teamwork, helping each other search high and low and making sure no eggs were left behind 👏✨ We’re so proud to say… they found them all! 🎉🥚

After the hunt, we enjoyed some Easter-themed activities back inside, including:
🎯 Pin the tail on the bunny
🎩 Making Easter hats
🍪 Decorating bunny biscuits

What a wonderful afternoon of fun, teamwork and smiles! 😊💐
