Congratulations to Md. Abdullah Al Rafi, Undergraduate Student, Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, USTC, for proudly participating in the prestigious 6th International Young Biotechnologist Congress 2026 on Omics and AI in Biotechnology and the Future Biotechnologists Summit 2026, organized by the Network of Young Biotechnologists of Bangladesh in collaboration with the Department of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, University of Dhaka at the Nawab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban.

The International Collaboration Committee of the University of Science and Technology Chittagong (USTC) successfully organized a significant academic meeting and courtesy visit featuring Professor Dr. Hakki Çiftçi, Dean of the Kozan Faculty of Business Administration, Director of the Vocational School of Adana, and Head of Economic History, Department of Economics at Cukurova University, on 09 May 2026 at the USTC Conference Hall.
The program was graced by Professor Dr. Nurul Absar as the Chief Guest. Distinguished academics, deans, department heads, and university officials also participated in the fruitful discussion on international collaboration and research partnerships. During the meeting, both institutions discussed potential areas of cooperation, including joint research initiatives, faculty and student exchange programs, international conferences, industry–academia collaboration, and the roadmap for academic exchange programs for the 2026–2027 academic session. Discussions were also held regarding the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two universities.
The session created an inspiring platform for strengthening global academic networking and enhancing research excellence through international partnerships. USTC firmly believes that such collaborations will play a vital role in expanding innovation, academic quality, and global engagement in higher education. Heartiest Congratulations to Ms. Shyama Barna Bhattarjee, Lecturer, Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), University of Science and Technology Chittagong, on her remarkable achievement in securing an Intellectual Property (IP) titled “IoT-Based Biofertilizer and Biocontrol Device for Agriculture” from New Delhi, India, on 26 December 2025.

This outstanding accomplishment reflects her innovation, research excellence, and dedication to advancing sustainable agricultural technology through modern digital solutions. Her success brings immense pride and honor to the CSE Department, the USTC Research Cell, and the entire USTC family.

Alhamdulillah, we are truly honored and delighted to share that Dr. Mohammad Sahabuddin, Director of USTC Research Cell (URC) and Associate Professor, Department of Finance and Banking, University of Science and Technology Chittagong (USTC), has been invited as a speaker at the 1st International Conference on Shariah Economics and Sustainable Development (ICSESD 2026), organized by the Association of Islamic Economics Doctoral Programs in Indonesia (APDESYI), to be held on June 24, 2026.

The conference, themed “Advancing Islamic Economics and Finance for Sustainable, Inclusive, and Digital Global Development,” will bring together distinguished scholars, researchers, and professionals from around the world to exchange knowledge and foster global academic collaboration.
