आम्ही आमच्या क्षेत्रातील स्वयंसेवक विद्यार्थी आहोत, म्हणजेच महात्मा ज्योतिबा फुले नगर, आयआयटी बॉम्बे मार्केट जवळ, पवई हे शैक्षणिक आणि सामाजिक उद्देशाने डॉ रोहित वेमुला एज्युकेशन सेंटर नावाचे एक शिक्षण केंद्र चालवित आहेत. येथे आम्ही महाविद्यालयीन विद्यार्थ्यांना करिअरच्या उद्देशाने, यूपीएससी, इंग्रजी समन्वय वर्ग, संगणकाचा वापर आणि ग्रंथालयाच्या उद्देशाने केंद्राचा उपयोग करण्यासाठी शिक्षित करतो. आयआयटी बॉम्बेच्या विद्यार्थी स्वयंसेवकांनी घेतलेल्या शालेय विद्यार्थ्यांसाठी हे केंद्र साप्ताहिक गणित व विज्ञान आणि कार्यात्मक इंग्रजी वर्ग चालविते. आमच्या स्वयंसेवक पूजा (जे. जे. स्कूल सीएसटी) च्या रेखाचित्र / कलाकुसरीचे वर्ग यासारखे काही शालेय विद्यार्थी शालेय विद्यार्थ्यांसाठी वर्ग घेतात.
शिक्षण केंद्राचे संस्थापक श्री. शेखर ओव्हळ या सामाजिक कार्यकर्त्याकडून सन २०१ 2016 मध्ये हे केंद्र सुरू करण्याची प्रेरणा आम्हाला मिळाली. तेव्हापासून आम्ही फुले नगरमधील विद्यार्थ्यांनी हे केंद्र चालविण्यास स्वेच्छेने काम केले. या केंद्राने शालेय स्तरावरील शैक्षणिक वर्ग, करिअर मार्गदर्शन सत्रे, सामाजिक कार्यक्रम आयोजित केले आहेत.
सामुदायिक जागेची उपलब्धता नसल्यामुळे हे केंद्र भाड्याने घेतलेल्या जागेवरुन चालविले जाते, त्यासाठी मासिक भाडे, वीज, वायफाय शुल्क आणि इतर विविध शुल्क आकारले जाते. तपशीलवार मासिक बजेट संलग्न आहे. सध्या आम्ही, विद्यार्थी आणि यंगस्टर्स, जे इतर आर्थिक योगदानासह केंद्र चालविण्यास हातभार लावत आहेत. केंद्र चालविण्यासंदर्भात तुमच्या योगदानाची आम्ही विनंती करतो.

Request for Financial Support : Dr. Rohit Vemula Education Centre, Phule Nagar

Dear Sir/Madam

We are the volunteering students in our area, i.e., Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Nagar, near IIT Bombay Market, Powai running an Education Centre called Dr. Rohit Vemula Education Centre, for educational and social purpose. Here, we educate the college students for career purpose, UPSC, English Comprehension classes, Computer use and use the centre for library purpose. The centre also runs weekly Mathematics & Science and Functional English classes for school students taken by student volunteers from IIT Bombay. Few of the college students also conduct classes for school students, like drawing/crafts classes by our volunteer Pooja (J.J. School CST).
We got the inspiration from Founder of the Education Centre Mr. Shekhar Ovhal, a social activist, to start the centre in the year 2016. Since then, we the students from Phule Nagar volunteered to run the centre. The centre has organized school level academic classes, career guidance sessions, social events.
As there is lack of availability of community spaces, the centre is run from a rented space, for which there is monthly rent, electricity, WiFi charges and other miscellaneous charges. Detailed monthly budget is attached. Currently we, the students and youngsters, who are working contribute towards running the centre along with other financial contributions. We request your kind annual contribution towards running the centre.
