McAuley Student-Association Brisbane McASA is Australian Catholic University's Banyo Campus Student Association.

A committee made by students, for students whose aim it is to enrich your university life beyond study. The McAuley Student Association (McASA) endeavours to animate, enrich and engage student life beyond study on and off Australian Catholic University’s McAuley (Banyo) Campus. McAuley Student Association is run by a committee comprised of current students who seek to engage our students through c

ultural, spiritual, social, sport and recreational experiences and events. We are also the main advocator for the student voices and their opinions, needs and concerns. Our Current Executive Team:

STUDENT ELECTIONS INFORMATION SESSION

We want you to have your say in who leads the ACU Student Associations next year, and what they focus on. The first step to getting involved is to be informed – so join us for a Student Election information Zoom session for a briefing from the Associate Director, Student Life. He’ll be talking about how from 2023 onward, Student Associations will have a greater role in representing and advocating for students at all campuses, with new roles to represent the interests of particular groups, increased decision-making powers, and more.

Don’t miss the opportunity to be a part of what is a really exciting and dynamic time of change in ACU student representation. Bring your hard questions and burning issues – we want to hear them!

Wear it Purple day is an annual LGBTIQ+ awareness day where supporters wear purple to celebrate the inclusion of rainbow young people.  Wear it Purple day is about creating safe spaces in schools, universities, workplaces and public spaces to show LGBTIQ+ people that they are seen and supported. 
Students and staff on the Brisbane Campus are invited to show their support by wearing purple and coming along to a purple-themed morning tea at 10:30 am on Thursday 25 August 2022 in the Brisbane Library foyer.  An LGBTIQ+ themed book display and Wear it Purple freebies will also be available.
