A great small talk session today with visiting medical students from Germany 🇩🇪 and our regular Thai medical students 🇹🇭.

The group shared their experiences from their current rotations in General Surgery and Dermatology, discussing what they have observed in the wards, clinics, and operating theatres. They also talked about things to see and do in Bangkok — from temples and street food to markets and city life.

A relaxed and enjoyable session, and a great opportunity to practice English while helping our visitors discover more about the city. Thank you to the Thai students who joined to support the discussion and make our guests feel welcome!

Our monthly small talk session was held at the International Village yesterday, creating a lively and welcoming atmosphere. Students from the UK 🇬🇧, Japan 🇯🇵, Malaysia 🇲🇾, the US 🇺🇸, Switzerland 🇨🇭, Norway 🇳🇴, Germany 🇩🇪, Italy 🇮🇹, and China 🇨🇳 exchanged views on rotations, local and national interests, and cultural perspectives, generating natural conversation and enthusiastic engagement. The session provided valuable opportunities to strengthen communication skills, build confidence, and promote positive cross-cultural interaction. 🌍✨

🌟 Celebrating the Completion of Our English for Nursing Professionals Course! 🌟

Today, we proudly mark the end of a truly special journey — the first programme of its kind (to our knowledge) in Thailand designed specifically to support nurses in developing practical, real-world English skills. We named it 'English for Nursing Professionals'.

Throughout the course, participants strengthened not only their language ability and confidence, but also their ability to handle patient–nurse dialogues with clarity, professionalism, and compassion. This improvement is much needed and deeply valuable in today’s increasingly international healthcare environment.

A huge congratulations to all of our nurses for your dedication, energy, and impressive growth. Your commitment will continue to enhance patient experience and overall service excellence. You were an absolute joy to teach!!

Chulalongkorn University is deeply saddened by the passing of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother, and joins the Thai people in mourning her demise. We pay tribute to all that she accomplished and her lasting legacy.

Congratulations to Professor Unnop Jaisamrarn, MD, MHS, Senior Executive Advisor for International Affairs, on being appointed as the President of the Asia Pacific Menopause Federation (APMF) for the 2025-2027 term. This appointment was made by the APMF Council.
