🤖 ROBOTICS WORKSHOP – SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED 🎉

The Robotics Workshop at Assedduma Subharathi School, organized by Gavesha (Pvt) Ltd in collaboration with the Waya Robotics Club – Wayamba University of Sri Lanka, was successfully conducted last Friday.

Students engaged in exciting hands-on activities, exploring the world of robotics while discovering how technology can inspire creativity, problem-solving, and innovation.

Innovating Smart Education for Underprivileged Schools

Many rural schools have smartboards but lack the resources or training to use them effectively. Can your team change that?

💡 Your Challenge: Develop any practical solution—software or hardware—that makes smartboards useful and impactful in classrooms with limited teachers.

👥 Teams of 6 | Open to all undergraduates under 29
🏆 Top 10 teams will be selected to compete

Make-A-Thon 2025 – Innovating for a Better Tomorrow! 🚀

Our team from Waya Robotics Club proudly participated in Sri Lanka’s first inter-university Make-A-Thon on Assistive Medical Technology at the University of Kelaniya, organized by the Faculty of Computing and Technology and the Faculty of Medicine.

We developed a 3D-printed assistive device to help a child affected by MCA stroke regain the ability to eat, draw, and even play the piano using his right hand! Witnessing the impact of our innovation was truly inspiring.

Collaborating with experts from Sri Lanka and Japan, including a team led by Ryotaro Hayashi from the Asian Development Bank, we saw firsthand how technology and compassion can change lives.
