***Online IAEA 2021 1st-3rd September 2021***

We look forward to welcoming you to Online IAEA 2021!
Online IAEA London 2021 will take place between the 1st and 3rd September 2021. It is the official conference of the International Association for Empirical Aesthetics and will be hosted virtually for the first time, hosted by City and Goldsmiths, University of London.
Over three days the conference will include a rich and diverse programme of symposia, talks, poster sessions and keynotes from the rapidly growing research fields of experimental aesthetics, neuroaesthetics and the science of art appreciation. The scientific programme will be complemented by virtual art and social events.
We would have preferred an in-person conference in London, but the virtual format has some advantages. IAEA 2021 as a virtual conference allows us to engage with new and exciting ways of communicating research on experimental aesthetics. It is also an opportunity to reach new and more diverse audiences. Performing and visual artists across the world have been quick to adapt, and we are excited to showcase some of their work as part of the conference!

Abstract submission is now open. The deadline for submitting abstracts for symposia, talks and posters is the 15th of June 2021. To submit, follow this link: https://www.city.ac.uk/news-and-events/events/2021/09/xxvi-conference-of-the-international-association-of-empirical-aesthetics/abstracts

KEYNOTE: Prof Ellen Winner, Boston College
"An Uneasy Guest in the Schoolhouse: Art Education from Colonial Times to a Promising Future”

ADDITIONAL SPEAKERS including The Gustav Theodor Fechner Award for Outstanding Contributions to Empirical Aesthetics and The Alexander Gottlieb Baumgarten Award for Outstanding Contributions of Young Scientists to be announced soon.

XXVI Conference of the International Association of Empirical Aesthetics 13/04/2020

Dear IAEA friends,

We hope you are all remaining safe and well in these difficult times.

Together with the IAEA Board of Directors, we have agreed to postpone the IAEA congress meeting to September 2021 in London. We trust that by then the global pandemic will no longer be part of our daily lives and will not impact travels and conferences anymore. This decision was taken in the interest of all and serves the safety and good health of all speakers and IAEA members.

We would like to thank you all for the wonderful abstract and symposia that were submitted these past weeks. Your submissions remain valid for the new date, but we will also open another call for abstract submission early 2021 -you will be able to amend your submission. We will refund straight away all paid conference registration (please contact [email protected] if you have not got your refund in the next weeks).

Finally, thank you very much for your understanding. We were looking forward to hosting you in London this September. We will ensure to create a memorable IAEA in 2021.

New information will be updated in our IAEA London 2021 website: https://www.city.ac.uk/events/conferences/conference-of-the-international-association-of-empirical-aesthetics and on the official website of the International Association of Empirical Aesthetics https://science-of-aesthetics.org/index.html
