Did you know students can check out up to 5 library books from our Blue Ridge School Libraries over the summer? Information on summer checkout and Summer Reading Bingo is going home with Schneider and BRIJHS students this week! Check their backpacks or ask your students for their summer reading packets with more information.

✍️ Drawing Inspiration: Author David Biedrzycki Visits our Schools! 🎨

We are still buzzing with excitement from our recent visit with author and illustrator David Biedrzycki! From the cafeteria at Schneider Elementary to the gym at BRIJHS, David brought the magic of storytelling and digital art to life for our students.

Before he even arrived, our schools were transformed! A huge shoutout to the talented students and teachers who created the incredible door decorations and participated in pre-visit activities. Your creativity made David feel right at home! 🏠✨

🎨 Author & Illustrator Visit: David Biedrzycki! 🎨
Get ready to dive into the worlds of Unicorn Agent Bubble 07, SumoKitty, and the Breaking News bears! We are incredibly lucky to have the talented David Biedrzycki visiting our district this Friday. He'll visit BRIJHS & Schneider and present to grades K-5.

David is known for his hilarious storytelling and his incredible digital illustration techniques. Our students will get a "behind-the-scenes" look at how a book goes from a simple idea to a finished masterpiece on the shelf.

We can't wait to see the inspiration he sparks in our young creators!

2nd grade did their Book Fair Preview today! Watch your Schneider student's backpack today or tomorrow for their yellow Wish List. It will let you know which books your student is most excited about, and includes all you need to know about the book fair. We hope to see you during Open House on Tuesday, April 7th from 6-7:30pm.

Our Blue Ridge School Libraries Used Book Sale has been rescheduled for Monday, March 16th at Blue Ridge High School. We'll be open from 4-7pm. Please park in front and enter through the main doors. Follow the signs to the library.
In addition to books, this year we are selling some vintage magazines (including Life Magazies from as far back as the 1960s) and some vintage equipment. Please message me if you have any questions!

On Friday we announced the winner of our Schneider Elementary School Uknighted In Books Award! Students in grades K-3 read four nominees and were able to vote on their favorite.

And the winner is... Claude: The True Story of A White Aligator by Emma Bland Smith!

UPDATE: Our book sale has been postponed to Monday, March 16th due to weather.
We're getting ready for this year's Blue Ridge Libraries Used Book Sale! Doors open tomorrow @ BRHS Library. Staff & students can shop Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday during the school day, and we'll be open to the public Tuesday night from 4-7pm.
