Happy Stevie Nicks season, for those who celebrate 😉🧙‍♀️

October has officially arrived 🎃 darker evenings, pumpkins, herbs, potions, and that unmistakable little bit of magic in the air. ✨

Traditionally, this is a season of slowing down, gathering what we’ve grown, preserving herbs, honouring the turning of the year and preparing for winter. It’s a time for going inward, getting cosy and making a little more room for ritual and reflection. 👁️

🕯️ So here’s to October ~
to muddy boots, candlelight, herbal potions, witchy rituals, black cats, crisp mornings and making ordinary things feel a little more magical. 🍂🖤

ASMR back scrubbing 🔉

Featuring an orange and pumpkin home made scrub and therapeutic steam 🎃🍊

This leaves the back feeling silky smooth! ✨

Here’s the recipe :

🎃 Pumpkin & Orange Body Scrub

Ingredients

~ ½ cup brown sugar
~ 2 tbsp pumpkin purée
~ 2 tbsp sweet almond oil or jojoba oil
~ 1 tsp orange zest
~ 5–8 drops orange essential oil
~ Optional: a small pinch of mica powder for colouring

Method

~ Add the sugar to a bowl.
~ Stir in the pumpkin purée, oil and orange zest.
~ Add the orange essential oil and mix thoroughly.
~ Add a tiny amount of mica powder if desired, then stir until evenly coloured.
~ Store in a clean, airtight jar and use within a few days because of the fresh pumpkin.

How to use

Massage gently onto damp skin then rinse thoroughly. Use 1–2 times per week.

Safety tip: Patch test before use and avoid broken or irritated skin. Take care in the bath or shower as oils can make surfaces slippery. Essential oils should always be properly diluted.

🌿 A little Rosemary magic for the hair…

If you’ve ever wondered why rosemary keeps popping up in natural hair care, this is why ✨

Rosemary is traditionally used to support a healthy scalp, stimulate circulation and help keep the hair feeling fresh, strong and nourished. 💪

As a rinse, it’s such a simple way to bring all of that goodness into your hair ritual, and it smells soooo beautiful. ✨

And then there’s the magic behind the plant… 🪴 🪄

It has long been associated with protection, purification and clarity. So while you’re caring for the hair and scalp, you’re also bringing a little intention into the ritual. 🌿 🧘

Here is a simple rosemary rinse method:
🌱 Add 2–3 sprigs of fresh rosemary to 500ml of freshly boiled water.
🌱 Cover and leave to steep for 20–30 minutes.
🌱 Allow to cool completely, then strain into a clean bottle.
🌱 After shampooing, slowly pour or spray through the hair and scalp, gently massage in and leave for a few minutes before rinsing, or leave in if your hair and scalp enjoy it. 🥰

Storage: Keep refrigerated in a clean, sealed bottle and use within 3–5 days. If it changes colour, smell or appearance, or you’re unsure, throw it away and make a fresh batch. No preservatives, no fuss~ just fresh botanical goodness. 🌿
