Calling all green thumbs, environmentalists or anyone looking for break from exam prep!
We want to share this amazing opportunity to help plant 260 native tubestock, to create corridor for native wildlife (linking to nationally endangered Robertson Rainforest vegetation community).
This will benefit local endangered population of spotted tailed quolls and greater gliders.
If we can get about 12-15 willing volunteers we will complete this site and finish the tree planting in the Thin Green Line project, funded from the NSW Environmental Trust Bush Connect Program.
Please note that if you undertake this volunteering opportunity there is a chance for it to count towards your UOWx points; speak to A/Prof Kat Mikac about this.

Thank you for an amazing year. We appreciate everyone who engaged with the club in anyway, from the organisations and people who ran our events to anyone who came and had a chat at one of our stalls. It was delightful connecting with you.
Unfortunately we don’t have enough execs to re-affiliate next semester, but we’re hoping this isn’t the end - we’d love to get back up and running by Spring session next year (mid-2023). We will still be monitoring our Instagram and pages occasionally so please reach out if you’d like to get involved - the sooner the better, we’d love to start collaborating with you.

If you’re keen let us know! Everyone is welcome at the AGM on Wednesday regardless of whether you want to be an exec or not (but honestly we’d love to have you on the team - yes, you!). We need at least 10 attendees for the club to re-affiliate so if you’re free for a Zoom while you have your lunch we’d really appreciate your company.
Members should have received an email with the subject line “UOW BioNet AGM” a few days ago with event details (if you haven’t maybe check your junk email folder). We also have a Facebook event for it.
