Gender-Responsive Assessment Tools for Evaluating Instructional Materials in Basic, Higher, and Technical-Vocational Education
The Gender-Responsive Assessment Tools for Evaluating Instructional Materials in Basic, Higher, and Technical-Vocational Education is the first of its kind in the Philippines. It was developed in response to evidence of persistent gender biases in instructional materials across education levels. The tool is used to evaluate or make judgment on instructional materials whether they are free from gender biases and discrimination to achieve gender equality and women empowerment, and to decrease the gender gap in society. As an assessment tool, it provides guidelines for identifying and eliminating gender biases in instructional materials content. It is designed to aid educators, curriculum developers, resource evaluators, and institutions in ensuring that the learning materials foster inclusion, empowerment, and gender equality across all levels of the Philippine education system.
