We are thrilled to share that our Project Junior Research Fellows, Ms. Meghma Nag Choudhury and Ms. Sushma Mongbijam, presented their research on the sport Thang-Ta (the traditional Martial art form of Manipur) at the International Conference on Fit for Life, held in Goa from 18th–20th February 2025, jointly organized by National Sports University and Goa University in collaboration with Don Bosco College, Panjim.
A proud moment for the team—Ms. Meghma Nag Choudhury received the Best Oral Presentation award from the Hon’ble Minister of Sports, Art & Culture of Goa.
We are indebted to for giving us the opportunity to conduct our research in traditional sports. We look forward to more such achievements in the future.

Team SPIRATS conducting Phase 1 of the study that concluded with the identification of injuries and their patterns in various traditional sports of Manipur which is first of its kind in these areas. This will help us to understand the common injury patterns and implement strategies for injury prevention, ultimately enhancing sports performance.
