is half that of a man, that a women is deficient in her intelligence, that she can inherit less, A god who encourages the beating of a wife, A god who says its ok for a man to r**e you like a farmer ploughs his fields, A god who allows for the ra**ng of children disguised as child marriage, A god who compels women to hide and lower their gaze and forces them into submission, and when i looked at my sisters in Islam, especially those who did not live in the WEST, those that lived in places like Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia and Pakistan, who could not speak out, i realised that being in the West and enjoying the freedoms of the west, i had a duty to speak out, because by not speaking out, I acted as enabler to those who keep them prisoner in islamic lands -
From this point, my long journey of seeking the truth began… And the more I researched, the more I discovered new hidden catastrophes in the sacred texts of Islam, and teachers unable to answer or reconcile the prescriptions for domination, violence, and slavery. I couldn’t fool myself anymore, I discovered I was lost, I was lied to…WE ARE ALL LIED TO! Knowledge doesn't decrease when it is given. Our knowledge is the amassed thought and experience of countless human beings. Those who have wide-range of knowledge and experience can capture power and influence. The possession of knowledge gives them a distinct advantage over the semi educated people. Half knowledge is regarded as 'the curse of god' and also it is worse than ignorance. The growth and survival of mankind depends upon knowledge. From the Stone Age till date, man has struggled to know the unknown. He explored land, water and space by virtue of his knowledge. Man has made progress in all fields starting from science, technology to arts etc....
In closing I ask you to work with me, Feminists around the world have let the muslim women down , its time to end this , no longer must islam be allowed to use "ignorance of islam" as a weapon - We can do this! I hope this will give you some insight as to what to expect if you "like" this page .
