Book overview
Plug into nature, get outside, and discover the priceless lessons that shaped the character and grit of past generations. Nature means both 'self' and 'wilderness' for a reason. There's so much more a child can learn about the world around them, and their unique place in it, than can ever be taught inside a classroom.

Help your child navigate from a place of fear to a place of confidence, from a place of apathy to a place of discovery, by allowing them to learn and play as nature intended.

Each book is a guide of outdoor activities that will evolve into meaningful meditations through experience, backed by the latest studies in neuroscience and child development.

Build creativity, confidence, resilience, perseverance, empathy, and accountability as you raise a whole child who's ready for the whole world.

Today is NATIONAL S'MORES DAY! 🔥🏕

Get outside, Plug Into Nature, and don't miss this excellent opportuniy to bond with your children. Here's a little excerpt from our book "Plug Into Nature: Epic Journeys Outside Preparing the Whole Child for the Whole World" for inspiration 😉:

When you gather a group around a campfire, you are actually carrying on a human tradition that has been practiced throughout our history. For at least 400,000 years, human beings have gathered around fires at the end of a working day (Magazine & Nuwer, 2014). Interestingly enough, there seems to be a special power that this kind of gathering holds for communities. A study of tribal behavior in Botswana demonstrated that, when gathered around a campfire, conversations about work, gossip, and local relationships ended. Around a campfire, tribal members were far more likely to spend their time socializing about deeper matters, singing songs together, and sharing stories (Lodge, 2019). To begin with, you could set up a campfire with children and parents wherein just one or two people have a story to share. You can then open this experience up, giving children the chance to share their own stories, once they learn that they are situated in an open and accepting environment. Make sure to create a culture where people are celebrated for sharing their tales, no matter how long or short they are. Celebrate creativity and confidence in public speaking. You will provide your children with skills of confidence and openness, while also creating lasting sensory memories that will stay with them as they grow older.

Happy S'mores Day!
