ITE College West - Student Development

Three different groups; one common passion: DANCE.

During school vacation, a Combined Dance Camp was conducted for the dance groups in ITE College West. (20 - 22 June 2017)

A pilot initiative driven by Student Development, the dance camp aims to synergise the performing arts groups through dance sharing sessions across the three groups - Hip Hop Dance Club, Korean Popular Dance Club and Malay Cultural Dance Club.

Engaging workshops were mainly conducted by Student Development Staff (Contemporary Dance & Stage Makeup) and supported by external facilitators.

Students were also given the opportunity to brainstorm on collaborative community engagement projects. By tapping on their skillsets, this will be their first foray into community service, value-adding and contributing back to society.

ITE College West Combined Dance Camp 2017

ITE Celebrates its 25th Anniversary with an original musical, "Letters to ITE", inspired by personal stories from our students.

"Letters to ITE" tells the story of 3 seemingly different students who are tasked to work together for a school musical.
As the teenagers journey through the jitters of auditions, the clash of personalities, and sudden change of in the direction of the school musical, they begin to learn that life and school isn't always as it seems.

The musical features original songs written by our own ITE students as well as live music by a student band
Join us for this heartwarming tribute to the school told through the stories of those who have passed through its doors.

Inaugural session of the Shell Connexus with ITE - Mentorship Programme

Organised by Shell Singapore and ITE College West

The inaugural session of the Shell Connexus with ITE - Mentorship Programme was held in ITE College West.

The event was graced by Shell Singapore Country Chair, Ms Goh Swee Shen.

Through this programme, ITE CW students will be mentored by 30 staff from Shell over the next 5 months through workshops where the mentors will guide students to pursue their passion, explore their interests and future career options.

Curry & Music Kampong

Organised by ACE students and students from Nitec in Electrical Technology (Lighting and Sound)

Our ACE students and students from Nitec in Electrical Technology (Lighting and Sound) secured funds from Housing and Development Board to execute their Good Neighbours Project, “Curry and Music Kampong”. Their project was successfully carried out at Chua Chu Kang Community Centre.

The event was filled with fun-filled activities such as Curry Cooking Competition, making of Samosa and Musical Instrument; gathering residents from different cultures together to promote good neighbourliness.

Bocuse d'Or Closing Cocktail Party

Organised by Singapore Tourism Board

ITE College West Cultural Dance Club (Malay Dance), Artistari Gentari was invited to perform for the Bocuse d'Or Closing Cocktail Party held at Capella Hotel Grand Ballroom.

Artistari Gentari put up an astounding cultural dance performance "Joget Kenangan Bersama" that truly captures the traditional essence and flavour of Singapore's Malay culture.
