Plant It Forward - Community Tree Planting Initiative Our mission: Climate Literacy PROMOTING GLOBALLY Urban Forest green infrastructure including tree ordinances 4 all STREETS & PARKING CEMENT HEAT INDEX.

It is CRITICAL TO COOL OUR OCEANS! Ordinances https://www.saveourlandsaveourtowns.org/zoning.html Our goal is to GLOBALLY promote and plant a larger, healthier urban forest as part of the urban ecosystem, through community planting, maintenance, and education. The program is countable through our "green ticket" Plant it Forward program that is available at designated garden centers. Through volunteerism and a Plant it Forward Global Community Tree Planting Initiative - Making A Change for Climate change signs can be ordered (at a cost appx. 40.00 including shipping) and placed in neighborhoods to promote the program, we can exponentially grow a greener environment. We are aligned with environmental non-profits throughout the region and world. Founder Diane Christin Zenchenko-Esser is Who's Who in America Climate Literacy 2023 and launching the Project COOL Podcast. Our work is public through events including Discover Presque Isle and the LEAF Festival to name a few. Education Advocacy and active planting are key to the success of this program. By aligning ourselves with other forward-thinking environmental tree programs we can grow effectively and efficiently through the years toward a healthier environment for our region. Members of our board include Tom Erdman, Forester DCNR, and Scott Scholanger, Urban Forester Penn State Extension
