Two MCC Students Named to Phi Theta Kappa All-Massachusetts Team
Two Middlesex Community College students were named to the 2026 Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) All-Massachusetts Team: Kimberly Rodriguez and Kateryna Heneraliuk. The students were recognized at a ceremony at the State House in Boston on Thursday, May 7.

Middlesex Community College and the MCC Alumni Association have had another stellar year! Thank you all for your continued support and for staying connected with all that’s happening on campus.
We’re excited to share a glimpse of the past month as we celebrated the Class of 2026 and wrapped up the academic year with our final alumni event.
Graduation Party for the Class of 2026 – May 13
The Alumni Association Board hosted a wonderful graduation party in honor of our graduates. The evening featured delicious food from Red Rose Catering, Bianco’s Catering, and Rizzo’s Roast Beef & Pizza, with desserts from the Dessert Shop & Bakery and entertainment by DJ Sky. Graduates enjoyed karaoke, great company, and exciting raffle prizes generously donated by the Board—a fun and memorable night for all!
💙 Health Careers Pinning Ceremony – May 19
At the MCC Health Careers Pinning Ceremony, alumni speaker Jennifer Lewis ’05, RN, BSN, and MCC Adjunct Instructor, delivered an inspiring message. She encouraged graduates to “treat every patient with compassion, dignity, and respect, to embrace lifelong learning, and to persevere through challenges—reminding them that growth often begins outside their comfort zone.”
Commencement & Distinguished Alumni Award – May 21
On Commencement Day, we had the privilege of presenting the 2026 Distinguished Alumni Award to Victoria Makumbi ’10, CPA, Senior Accountant at The Kraft Group and Affiliates. In her powerful remarks, Victoria reminded graduates that their future is shaped not by obstacles, but by their courage. She encouraged them to “dream boldly, work relentlessly, and never give up.”
Thank you to Jennifer and Victoria for sharing your inspiring words—we are incredibly proud of all you have accomplished and look forward to all that lies ahead for you and our newest alumni.
MCC Alumni Night at the Lowell Spinners – June 16
The Alumni Association wrapped up the season with a fun night Lowell Spinners! Over 45 alums, colleagues, family, and friends came out to enjoy a beautiful night of baseball, networking, and posing for a few photos with their mascot, Canaligator!

We look forward to celebrating the Class of 2027 on Thursday, May 27, 2027 and hosting many fun and engaging events in the year ahead!
