The Graduate Students Club is honored to be part of the organizing team for the 2024/2025 Hooding Ceremony of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, held on 27 November 2025 to celebrate our PhD graduates. The event brought together supervisors and family members in recognition of the students’ achievements. It was a meaningful moment to witness years of dedication, perseverance, and hard work culminate in this milestone. We are grateful for the opportunity to support and celebrate our postgraduate community, and we look forward to continuing our commitment to uplifting and empowering our students.

🎓✨ Kicked off the new academic year in style! Postgraduate Orientation Day - Semester 1 2025/2026

The Graduate Student Club (GSC) of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FMHS) successfully hosted the Postgraduate Orientation for Semester 1, 2025/2026 on 6th November. The programme commenced with a welcome address by Professor Ts. Dr Cheah Yoke Kqueen, Deputy Dean (Graduate and Industry & Community Relations) FMHS, followed by an informative briefing by Assoc. Prof. Dr Sandra Maniam, the Postgraduate Coordinator of FMHS.

The orientation included structured activities designed to facilitate networking and foster a sense of community among postgraduate students, marking the start of a promising academic journey.

Our postgraduate students came dressed in their stunning traditional attire, representing the heart and soul of their cultures—just walking around felt like a global fashion show! 😍✨
The colors, patterns, and pride were simply beautiful to witness.

The event was also lit with amazing performances by students from Maldives, Nigeria, Pakistan, Malaysia, and Saudi Arabia—a true celebration of culture, talent, and togetherness. 🌏🎶

Postgraduate students from Malaysia, Pakistan, the Philippines, India, and Nigeria came together to showcase their traditional food, accessories, and cultural expressions—from native phrases to clothing and customs.

Guests enjoyed tasting pani puri, nasi lemak, kuih-muih, and refreshing drinks while learning how to say unique phrases in different languages and dialects.

It was a beautiful exchange of knowledge, food, and culture. Truly a feast for the senses and the soul!
