N_SRIC/BUK team members visited Gombe state on Monday 23rd November 2020 for advocacy visit to Gombe State Governor at the same time conducted Hospital Supplementation to the above-mentioned communities.
Advocacy visit to the Executive Governor of Gombe State and Hospital supplementation to Kaltungo, Filiya, D/Dutsi Awark and Alkaleri in Bauchi state.

The donation of drugs to the above mentioned Hospital and other sites was targeted to assist the weak and the vulnerable from the respective communities that N_SRIC is carrying out research activities.
Other team members that represent N_SRIC/BUK team members for the exercise include; Prof Muhd Y Gwarzo, Prof Bashir Chedi Dr Muhammad Hamza, Abdullahi Baiwa & Kabiru S Tahir.

The Honourable Minister of Health, Dr. Osagie Ehanire has described as “unfortunate” that Nigeria ranks among the World’s worst snakebite-affected countries, reaching epidemic proportions. By the records the Honourable Minister reeled out, Nigeria records an average of 20, 000 cases of snakebite every year with about 2, 000 people killed and between 1,700 and 2, 000 people whose leg or arm is amputated to save their lives after snakebite.
