Should small business pay for employee training?

Paying for you employee training can result in positive outcomes for your business, including:

🍏 improved employee morale
🍏 improved staff loyalty
🍏 improved job satisfaction

For Australian small business owners, there is one more benefit,
and that is an additional 20% tax deduction.

There are some eligibility criteria, including:

🍎 the training is either in-person in Australia, or online
🍎 charged by a registered external training provider
🍎 is an allowable deduction for your business
🍎 incurred between 29 March 2022 and 30 June 2024

To confirm your eligibility we recommend you speak with your accountant. We also recommend you take action before the May budget Tuesday 14 May 2024.
