Serving the Hampton Roads community since 1997 Upsilon Omicron Omega Chapter was formed by the interest group Pearls of Sisterhood.
In December of 1996, members interested in chartering a second chapter in the Norfolk area held their first meeting. As a result of this meeting, the group decided to move forward by petitioning Doris R. Asbury, 13th Mid-Atlantic Regional Director, with proposed chartering plans. The Regional Director guided the ladies through the process. They began the work necessary to become the 109th chapter

Upsilon Omicron Omega chapter — Uplift Our Local Community partnered with Norfolk Public
Schools to support scholars at P.B. Young Elementary
School for the Rain Shower Project 🌧️.
Did you know that over 90% of students in that community walk to school each day? Unfortunately when it rains, it contributes to students missing the instructional day. To eliminate absences, we adopted children and collected rain boots 👢, rain coats🧥 , hats🧢, and umbrellas 🌂 to ensure every child walks into their classrooms covered, confident, and cared for. Together, we soared as we uplifted our community.
Let’s Taco Bout It 🌮
This past March, Gen Next committee collaborated with the Hospitality committee and Strengthen Our Sisterhood to bring a Taco Bar Potluck to life.
Thank you to Sister Annette who graciously prepared the proteins and all the Sister Squads who brought in items to kick our chapter meeting off fiesta style 🪅🌯
Sometimes the simplest things can help show our togetherness and celebrate our sisterhood in the best way 💕💚✨

Hirschfeld School of Dental Hygiene, National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Coastal Virginia and more.

Upsilon Omicron Omega chapter Uplift Our Local Community presents — “Understanding Autism: One Piece At a Time.” This webinar will be led by Tenisha Norvell in partnership with Complete the Puzzle in honor of April being Autism Acceptance Month🧩. The purpose of the workshop is to provide families with information about Autism and assist in connecting with a community partner that can provide resources to support those on the spectrum. Upsilon Omicron Omega chapter Enhance Our Environment committee celebrated Earth Day at Slover Library in Norfolk, Virginia. Thank you to the organizers who educated us on how to make seed bombs using native flower seeds to help local blooms thrive. The seed bombs require NO digging and aid in helping urban wild life by supporting pollinators. We had a wonderful Earth Day gaining knowledge on how to promote environmental awareness 🌱💐.
