Do you think i over reacted
Have you ever said "NO" to someone and later felt bààd about it?
Last night, I did something to my customer and later felt disturbed.
I have this customer that use to patronize me years back. So 4 years ago, I gave him goods on credit worth ₦5,600. After that, he stopped coming to my shop. I called him several times, but he keeps giving me excuses.
The debt stayed unpaid for almost six months until I eventually saw him one day and collected my money with force, Later, he came back and apologized for the delay.
Since then, he has only patronized me once every three to five months.
Yesterday, he came to my shop badly injured after being involved in an accident. He hasn't been able to work because of his condition, and he asked me for a favor.
And i said no.
To be honest, even I was surprised that I could refused, especially after seeing his condition. At that moment, the memories of past experiences with customers who failed to keep their promises came flooding back. I've been disappointed too many times, and I didn't want to put myself in that position again. He pleaded and told me am his last option and i still stand on my words. Am this type that feel for people when i see there condition but people have d3alt with me. I have l0st so much money all in the name of p!ty, but last night own was a no, remembering the way he paid the last time.
But after he left, I started feeling b@d.
Did I make the right decision by protecting my business, or should I have shown mercy because of his situation?
Do you think what i did was ok.
What would you have done if you were in my shoes? I feel bàd.
