To those of you who see the extent of my disability and hold the door open or help me put my walker back in the trunk of my car I thank you. You're right! It's not an easy road I walk.Others have their difficulties and I wouldn't trade with anyone! But over the years I've observed some selfish behavior with regards to handicapped parking. People who DON'T have a plaquard and just "want to run in real fast." Thinking well, no one is using it." It's is also not justified that you have a brand new car (no plaquard) and don't want anyone to ding it up. Nor is it justified because you have "Mom of 4 kids!" On your license plate. Today a woman zoomed past me we were both aiming for the single handicapped space at the car repair place. Not wanting to crash I backed off but as I drove by her I admit I gave her all kinds of dirty looks. I could see she had no plaquard. After we both parked and she could see my disability she quickly affirmed that she had a disability plaquard too but her husband always took it down. But she was determined to get that spot! All I'm asking is everyone please have a little consideration. Those handicapped placquards are earned! It's not just a conve
nience-it's a medical necessity!

Why do we truly appreciate something only when it is taken from us? I know this isn't Mother's or Father's Day but it is the season of Gratitude! My parents were remarkable people! They had their flaws and personality quirks (who doesn't) but as I've headed into the age of wisdom (you've learned that relationships matter more than things) I've valued the little things they taught me. Dad loved to laugh, to sing and to take part in Barbershop quartets and CHOCOLATE! Don't you dare eat the last chocolate chip cookie! Mom was very wise. She exposed me to culture and fine art (which to a 9-year-old meant enduring operas and tedious displays combing through museums and reading each little plaquard about the painting. She endured months of my piano practice with very little improvement. But she knew that if she planted the seeds something would stick! And it did! None of us four kids are brilliant scientists or world renowned artists or concert pianists but we each try to conduct our lives that help others to be their best selves. And our lives are richer for it!

I don't usually get in to college football (my husband religiously watched BYU games every season) but from watching the "Holy War" it warms my heart to see all that Blue in LaVell Edwards Statdium! I still root for my Alma Mater. BYU is always exciting to watch! Watching the players in slo-mo get knocked around makes me cringe! Lander Barton just got called out of the game for a personal fowl against Bear Bachmeier....and BYU SCORES! 14-16 BYU! GO COUGARS!

I've just been reading on the murder of Charlie Kirk and his accused murderer, Tyler Robinson. Why does someone accused of aggravated assault and shows no remorse whatsoever get a prestigious and experienced Defense attorney like Kathryn Nester to defend him? ...and the county of Utah gets to foot the bill? ($750,000- $1,000,000 thank you very much!) There is enough incriminating evidence that Tyler not only commited the murder but he tried (although feebly) to hide the evidence. Any defense attorneys out there want to shed a little light on this situation?
