Our fifth session brought ʻŌLA Cohort 3 to UH West Oʻahu in partnership with the CreateX Lab, where we gathered around the theme of Leading in Community: Innovation & Design Thinking.
The cohort explored how ʻŌiwi leadership can engage creativity, emerging technology, storytelling, and design thinking in ways that remain grounded in culture, community, and kuleana. Our time with the CreateX Lab fellows offered a window into their creative processes and the unique ways technology can serve as a tool for storytelling, connection, and community impact.
We were honored to be joined by Dr. Noe Goodyear-Kaʻōpua, whose manaʻo deepened our reflections on ʻŌiwi leadership, ea, and the work of transforming systems.

For the past six months, Cohort 3 have been on a transformational journey of reflection, relationship-building, cultural grounding, and leadership development. On June 17, we’ll gather to celebrate their accomplishments at the 2026 ʻŌLA Hōʻike Graduation Dinner, a night dedicated not only to honoring this cohort, but also to investing in those who will follow. 💙
By becoming a table sponsor, you’re doing more than supporting an event. You’re helping create opportunities for Hawaiʻi-raised professionals to stay, lead, and serve their communities through leadership rooted in ʻike Hawaiʻi, pilina, and kuleana.
Join us as we celebrate the next generation of ʻŌiwi leaders and help ensure this work continues for years to come.
