Overall slope collapse occurred today on the East wall of the Ministro hale open pit mine in Chile. According to the official press release from Codelco, the collapse was anticipated thanks to the analysis of monitoring data carried out by the local geotech staff. Green caves Lanzarote (locally known as “Cueva de los Verdes”…
This is not a mine or a karstification…..it is a lava tube:
The lava tube formed after the eruption of the volcano La Corona 3 to 4 thousand years ago.
The top of the lava stream cooled down and solidified into a crust while the inside was still flowing. Later the stream drained leaving only the crust.

The ground motion visualization videos showing the waves from all 3 M5+ earthquakes that occurred April, 29, 2021 off the coast of Oregon:

These GMV's videos are created based on real seismic data. Each dot is a seismic station; when the ground moves up the dot turns red, when the ground moves down the dot turns blue.

These earthquakes occurred along the Blanco Fracture Zone. This area often experiences M5+ earthquakes.

The waves from the 1st earthquake (M5.4) are followed quickly by the waves from the 2nd earthquake (M5.2). Near the end of the video the waves from the 3rd earthquake (M5.3) are visible.
