Feeling frustrated when you don’t know how to pronounce the ‘th’ sound?
The I.P.A. symbol for this sound is /θ/. You can see it in many dictionaries.
The /θ/ sound is at the beginning of ‘thankyou’.
Many of my students have this issue, and I have worked with them to figure out the best solution to understand what is required of your mouth to make this sound. It requires you to blow out air. 💨
This sound does not exist in many other languages.
