Hey friends! Today, I want to share with you the amazing world of Ayurveda. Ayurveda is an ancient holistic healing system from India that focuses on maintaining balance and harmony within our body, mind, and spirit. It's all about achieving optimal health and well-being through natural remedies and lifestyle practices. Let's dive in and explore the key principles of Ayurveda!
Holistic Approach: Ayurveda considers the whole person – body, mind, and spirit – as interconnected entities. It recognises that imbalances in one aspect can affect the others, and aims to restore harmony and balance to all levels of existence.
Individualised Approach: Ayurveda recognises that each person is unique and requires a personalized approach to healthcare. It considers factors such as constitution (prakriti), current imbalances (vikriti), and individual needs when designing treatment plans.
Balance of the Dosha's: Ayurveda identifies three dosha's (Vata, Pitta, and Kapha) as the fundamental energies that govern the body and mind. Health is maintained when these dosha's are in a state of equilibrium, and disease arises when they become imbalanced. Ayurveda seeks to restore balance through various methods.
Importance of Digestion: Ayurveda places great emphasis on digestion and considers it the cornerstone of health. It recognises that proper digestion and assimilation of nutrients are essential for optimal functioning and the prevention of diseases. Ayurvedic practices focus on promoting strong digestion and removing ama (toxins) from the body.
Mind-Body Connection: Ayurveda recognises the intimate connection between the mind and body. It understands that mental and emotional well-being significantly influence physical health and vice versa. Ayurveda incorporates various techniques, including meditation, yoga, and lifestyle practices, to promote a balanced mind-body state.
Prevention and Wellness: Ayurveda places a strong emphasis on disease prevention and the maintenance of overall wellness. It encourages individuals to make conscious choices that promote health, such as adopting a balanced diet, following a suitable daily routine, and practicing self-care rituals.
Natural Remedies and Lifestyle: Ayurveda utilises natural remedies derived from plants, herbs, minerals, and animal products. It emphasises the use of these remedies in their whole form to harness their synergistic effects. Additionally, Ayurveda emphasizes the importance of a healthy lifestyle, including proper sleep, regular exercise, and a harmonious environment.
Remember, Ayurveda is a vast and intricate system, but these points serve as an introduction to its key principles. If you're interested in learning more, feel free to ask questions, and I'll be happy to guide you further on this incredible journey towards holistic wellness!

🌿 Discover the Therapeutic Benefits of Kati Basti in Ayurveda! 🌿
Hello Health Dynamics Community!
My Name is Tori Tink (Ayurveda & Yoga with Torie Tink)! I am a treatment practitioner with Health Dynamics Brisbane.
Today, I want to talk about Kati Basti, an amazing Ayurvedic remedy that does wonders for reducing back pain, stiffness, and inflammation.
Ayurvedic therapy called kati basti focuses on treating various back conditions while also being deeply rejuvenating. During this treatment, dough is gently shaped into a circle and placed on the lower, middle, or upper back. Then, a delicate stream of warm, heated, medicinal oil is slowly poured into the center of the dough. In harmony with one another, these potent ingredients improve blood flow, lessen swelling, and relieve pain.
For people suffering from back discomfort and inflammation, slipped and ruptured discs, or disc prolapse, this remarkable treatment is especially advised. Sciatica, rheumatoid arthritis, or nerve discomfort
The goal of Kati Basti is to enhance circulation in the area being treated while nourishing, lubricating, and strengthening the bones, connective tissues, ligaments, nerves, and muscles.
As a result, if you've recently experienced any of these symptoms, Ayurveda is the key to your health!

Hey Guys & Girls,
We now reach the most important, forth life goal which is the most difficult to achieve … Moksha – The attainment of salvation through liberation and realisation.
That sentence is another “WTF” lol. Moksha, in terms of liberation can be understood in two senses – The freedom from the cycle of death and rebirth & the freedom from one’s ignorance and subsequently self-realization. Moksha is about realizing what is one’s true self.
Finding one’s true self does not mean giving up on everything in this world, moving into a cave high in the mountains and eating air for the rest of your life.
Self-liberation is no easy task and it comes at a cost, it’s about diving deep into the darkness, it’s about self-analysing, it’s about surrendering, It’s about knowledge and the realization of self, along with the almighty self-discipline. This journey will eventually lead to self-liberation, and a freedom from all attachment.
The Vedic philosophy states that we are born free, but we do not realize it as we struggle through life looking for more wealth, pleasure, or recognition. True liberation is about achieving freedom from affections and to be happy with both Artha, Dharma and K**a and without them.
Whatever your life’s purpose is, you need to have a sound mind and body if you want to achieve it. Your health will be the most limiting factor to the quality and quantity of your life. You must consciously choose how much you wish to indulge. It’¬s about realizing that there is more to life than duty, possessions and desires. Understanding this will determine how healthy you will be.
Diseases are the obstacle on the path towards Purushartha (the soul’s journey), therefore Ayurveda seeks to eliminate them by teaching us how to protect and maintain our health, how to heal ourselves and how to increase our expectation of life.
Sending love, light & laughter.
