| Turnover of the Material Recovery Facility (MRF)
BISU Main Campus Dauis Extension
Today, we celebrate a meaningful step forward for the Bohol Island State University Main Campus Dauis Extension — the turnover of its Material Recovery Facility (MRF).
The MRF is more than just a structure. It is a clear sign of BISU’s commitment to care for the environment. This facility will help the university manage waste responsibly, using the ideas, innovations, and teamwork of both students and personnel. It shows that sustainability is not just something we talk about — it is something we practice.
Through its PCES Policy, BISU has made environmental protection part of its daily operations and long-term plans. Caring for the environment is not only about compliance; it is about shared responsibility.
This project became possible through the support of Pia Cayetano under the ByeSURA Project (Be Your Environment’s Steward: Unreserved 7Rs Amplification). Her advocacy on futures thinking helped turn this vision into reality.
BISU has what it takes.
BISU shares what it has.
Every BISUan takes responsibility as an environmental steward.
Every BISUan commits to sustainable development.
Together, we move forward — cleaner, greener, and more responsible than ever. 🌱💚
